Roles within an environment

Use the Manage > Runtime Management > Environments page to manage roles for an environment.

The Unattached Roles list contains all roles that have not already been attached to the selected environment.

By default, all roles have access to the environment because access has not been restricted. After roles are assigned to the environment, only users with those roles can access the environment.

note

You must have the Runtime Management and Environment Management privileges to perform this task. If you have the Runtime Management Read Access privilege, you cannot perform the task.

Attaching or detaching a role

  1. On the Environments page, click the name of the environment for which you want to attach or detach a role.

    The Environment Properties page opens.

  2. In the Roles with Access list, turn on the check boxes for those roles you wish to attach to the selected environment.

  3. To detach a role, turn off the check boxes in the Roles with Access list for those roles you do no longer want to attach to the environment.
